According to a Marion County Judge, a Father and his Ex-Wife are now forbidden from exposing their child to “non-mainstream religious beliefs and rituals.”, due to the fact that the parents practice Wicca.

The judges ruling is based on the fact that the 9-year old boy attends private school of the Catholic denomination and it would cause the boy a great deal of confusion. According to the ICLU (Indiana Civil Liberties Union), the judge’s order tramples on the parents’ constitutional right to expose their son to a religion of their choice.

I guess the Judge forgot his “pocket constitution” that day, because as far as I can tell:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

meant that Wicca, no matter how much you dislike or disagree with the practices, you cannot ban someone from practicing or being influenced by it.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of hearing about this horrible desecration of the Holy Book of Islam.

Here we and the rest of the world, are flipping out because we “possibly” defiled a sacred symbol of the religion of Islam. I don’t see how this is shocking or even upsetting in the least bit, it’s not to me. If I am interrogating someone, and I know that in order to get the information I need from a prisoner I would need to break them. If breaking them meant destroying or defacing the very symbol of their faith, I say go for it.

They’re very well known on the other side of our marble, for doing the same for the Holy Bible, so why should we treat them with such sensitivity? Have you ever heard the Golden Rule?

Also, why are so many outraged over this yet we never hear a peep from the rest of the world, or our media. Probably because it paints someone else in a negative light and wouldn’t make gitmo seem SO bad.

The dumbest thing of all of the five cases anyone can come up with is that out of those, four are cases of someone touching or standing over the koran.

The one thing that continues to puzzle me is our Judicial System. Specifically, how one person can do something extremely disgusting and vile and get slapped on the wrist, yet someone who also does something lewd, but less violating gets jail time.

John Hall, a former dentist from North Carolina has been issued 5 years probation for using a syringe to inject his semen, into the mouths of his female patients.

Arthur Bertana, a former Stamford police officer, has been sentenced to 20 days in jail for “flashing” people with a plastic banana in his pants.

I’m sorry, but I see this as kind of backwards. They found DNA evidence in the dentists office linking him, to semen found in the syringes, HE should be in jail for at least 5 years.

The former police officer should be the one getting the small amount of probation, it was poor judgment, but not something worthy of Jail.

Well, the season finally of American Idol is tonight, and I’m making my prediction before the show to see if I’m good or not.

Looks like former morning show host Lizz Winstead is suing Air America for being fired and then denied over $300,000 of pay that she was to collect from her employment there. Winstead claims that she is owed $200,000 of her $250,000 annual salary, plus $83,333 in severance pay, $14,423.08 in unused vacation time and $5,960.55 that she says the network pocketed from her on-air ads for the Vermont Teddy Bear Company.

Air America is already very well known for the most ’successful’ radio station ever to NOT pay their employee’s. It makes you wonder how this came as a shock to Winstead.
