Bi-lingual… NOT ME.
On our local news tonight, there was a very quick segment about new bi-lingual road signs for our local highways.
I’m sorry, I live in America, we teach classes in English (non-language classes), we broadcast the majority of our news in English, heck if you’d just admit it, English is our national language.
Why do I have to fork over taxes, taxes, taxes so that some people who refuse to admit they don’t live in Mexico anymore can get around in my city. Tough cookies people, you’re in MY country, you should have to learn MY language.
If I board a plane, and fly to Paris… I will put forth the effort to learn enough French to get by and not force the French people out of their national language, same goes for any other country I visit. Why should we allow foreigners to flood our country and force us to bend to their needs… you’re in a new country, time to adapt.
I go to the Grocery Store… SPANISH, I go to the mall, SPANISH, I turn on the TV, SPANISH… did I miss something? When did we become Mexico?
