Hillary is CLUELESS

Lefties

With the recent (non)issue over high gas prices, there have been many “know it all” politicians out there who have come up with the perfect solutions to these high prices.

Hillary Clinton is the latest and boy has she come up with a doozy of a plan.

Here we have gas prices skirting and sometimes going over $3.00 a gallon (although they have gone back down recently), yet in the face of this massive ‘economic crisis’ companies like Conoco Phillips are making record profits (here’s a hint: SUV’s) on the sale of gasoline.

So what is Hillary’s BRILLIANT plan? She is proposing massive taxes on these gas companies to help fund a strategic energy fund to explore alternative sources of fuel.

The problem with Hillary’s wonderful plan is that while she swears left and right that this would not be detrimental to consumers, she fails to show how gas companies will be able to absorb these billions of dollars in taxes without…. RAISING GAS PRICES.

People, raising taxes on the people that supply us with our gas at a time when we’re already complaining about the price of gas, is utterly moronic. There is absolutely no way for these companies to pay those taxes and maintain the profit they’re in business for, unless they take that money from us, period. You think $3.00 a gallon is bad, unleash Hillary on these “evil” corporations and you’ll think $3.00 a gallon is a blessing.

I have a HUGE problem with government coming in and telling anyone they’re making too much money and will be punished. Do they think this money goes into some kind “lock box” and never returns to the economy? That money will be used for “something.” And it’s no business of the government to go in, after the fact and change the laws to placate public opinion. Now if they want to provide tax incentives for re-investing in the economy or alternative energy technology fine. Do I think it’s a dirty rotten thing that these oil companies are doing? You bet. But as long as their actions are lawful the government should slow its role.

This idea is about a lame-brained as Hillary’s health care idea. Democrats want to be knows as “watching out for the little guy” when in fact, their agendas hurt the average American more. They piss and moan about the deficit and tax-cuts yet this is their idea of saving taxpayers money? Cripes!

Has she ever been to Europe, the home of the SMART car, where it is almost $6 US dollars for a gallon gas because of all the taxes! And who does that hurt…poor people who have to rely on public transportation which Europe has plenty of. We do not have public transportation like they do…so nice of her to think of the little people it will be really hurting.

Besides that georgina, public transportation is a horrible way to travel anyway. As for its cost they’ll just subsidize it with higher taxes on something else.

    How true,

Those same profits will be spent to find new resources. Oil and gas companies survive by exploration. As Doug Casey says, “they are a burning match.”

If we restrain them to the matches available now, we will run out of energy. Not because it is not there, but because billions were not spent to find and develop the next source.
