Cult leader Jeffrey Lundgren has managed to delay his execution and has joined a lawsuit against lethal injections because he says he’s more prone to pain because he’s overweight and diabetic.

Am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely retarded? You’ve been sentenced to death. Why should I care if you’re going to be uncomfortable during your final moments… if you’ve been sentenced to death, chances are that your victim(s) wasn’t all too comfortable in their final moments.

Lundgren was sentenced to death after the shooting of a family of five in 1989. The family (which consisted of three children) were executed while the stood in a pit dug outside of Lundgren’s barn. Lundgren told police that the Bible told him to kill the family.

The constitution claims that ‘Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.’ in regards to those accused of crimes. According to a finding by a court of law; “A penalty offends the proscription against cruel and unusual punishment when it is ’so disproportionate’ to the crime for which it is inflicted that it shocks the conscience and offends fundamental notions of human dignity.”

Now, a man digs a pit, makes three children and two adults stand in that pit as he guns them down. How in the hell is a needle and a few chemicals even REMOTELY “disproportionate”?
