I’m siding with Streisand?

I’m taking Streisand’s side on an issue… but don’t expect this to be some sort of trend.

Apparently consumer advocate groups in Italy are taking issue with the fact that she charges anywhere from $200 to $1200 per ticket for someone to see her do what she calls ’singing’. According to the city where she’s supposed to be appearing, the stadium is public property and cannot be used for “immoral deals that are shameful to a civilized country”.

Welcome to the concept of Capitalism folks. If Babs can charge $1200 a ticket, that means that there are people out there willing to pay that to see her. End of story. You don’t HAVE to go, and if your drive to see this woman flap her jaws is so great, you’ll find a way to get in.

Maybe she should be forced to donate a pile of tickets so the starving, impoverished folks in the slums can see her. After all, we know that they can’t live without it and it will solve ALL their problems.

Apparently this is her first concert ever in Italy. Here’s a note to Barbara… Leave, apparently they don’t want you there so go find a place where someone will pay.
