The Structured Life of Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton has to be the most sheltered, and rigorously scheduled and planned in advance candidate I’ve ever seen run for ANY office. Seriously… this woman is so afraid of a misstep that the people running her campaign intimidate or plant for her benefit…

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer has been told NOT to focus the debate on Hillary and not to pull a “Russert” by lowering the tone of the debate to the levels of character attacks. Funny, despite negative focus group testing results from GOP debates when the debate turned to “who’s more conservative” I seem to notice not ONE GOP candidates staff regulate how a debate should flow for their candidate.

Next up you have Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff, sophomore at Grinnell College in Iowa, was offered a free ride to Hillary’s speech on campus. During the ride over, Muriel was approached by a Clinton staffer. The staff member asked Muriel if she would like to ask Sen. Clinton a question. Muriel responded to the request with the comment, “Yeah, can I ask how her energy plan compares to the other candidates’ energy plans?”

The staffer responded with ‘I don’t think that’s a good idea, because I don’t know how familiar she is with their plans.” then preceded to open a binder to a page containing questions marked “college students” and was given the following to ask instead.

“As a young person, I’m worried about the long-term effects of global warming. How does your plan combat climate change?”

Muriel was approached later by another Clinton staffer with a formal request NOT to discuss the event with any media.

Now, I’m no expert, but if you’re fielding questions to planted audience members so you don’t look like you’re not up to speed on current issues, HOW does that make you qualified to run my country? Also, I find it not only insulting to the person you’ve planted that you didn’t trust THEIR judgment to field a rational question, but insulting to the American public whom you apparently think are too stupid to be trusted.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see if they really ARE as stupid as you think they are.
