Look where we stand on candidates.
So we’re 269 days from electing our next President and something hit me…
With the exception of some major upset by Huckabee (highly unlikely at this point) we have John McCain for the GOP, and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for the DNC.
All three are members of Congress. Current polling nationwide shows a Congressional approval rating of 22%. Congress is doing a LOUSY job. The nation wanted “change” and ousted the GOP from control of Congress and the new Democratically controlled Congress is setting new records for failure. Now we have three individuals from this pathetic group of individuals who only have the support of 22% of the nation, running to be the leader of our country.
Sounds to me like a good group to pick from if you ask me.

But what is the reason congress is getting nothing done? Simple. Nothing they pass will get signed, and there are still enough Republicans to block anything useful, including overriding vetoes, or impeachment proceedings.
Democrats are less than ideal. But Repugnicans are the problem, just as they’ve always been.

Well I hate to burst your bubble there Richoid… but I never said the Democrats were the problem.
The Republicans were sucking more than a fresh Dyson in a dust factory, so the nation voted in change… and now we’re left with, well… paper straws and a “greener” menu in the Congressional Cafeteria.
They all suck… you can’t change out bad lawmakers with bad lawmakers and expect a miracle.

Aye Aye! Both parties waste so much time bickering with each other and with themselves. They need to get along and compromise. I know each party thinks they’re “right” but the truth is that each is going to have to sacrifice something to get anything done. Grow up, Congress.
