Will wonders never cease, Olbermann said something GOOD
I’ve seen plenty of Keith Olbermann and he is, by definition, a blowhard…
I happened to flip past his show tonight and caught him berating Hillary Clinton who DARED to invoke the mere thought of assassination facing her imminent loss to Barack Obama. I’ve often wondered why she’s still hanging in… maybe, like Olbermann suggests, she is grasping at straws and holding on JUST IN CASE someone were to get “bumped” out of the race. Some candidate you’ve got there if that were true.
I don’t agree with some of what is said in this clip but his underlying point is spot on. Hillary Clinton is pathetic.
One can’t help but notice the OOOOOOZING support of Obama towards the end or the random jabs at the GOP but hey, it’s Olbermann. Regardless… Hillary Clinton’s comments were at best predictable given her past “oops” moments during this sad excuse for a primary campaign. The DNC super delegates would have to be corrupt and insane to give someone like you a nod after all this crap.

So it’s stupid to question the comments of a person seeking the HIGHEST office in this country and arguably the most powerful in the world?
She could have EASILY left out the mention of assassination, we know what happened to RFK… why mention it?
She’s also misleading the public who were exposed to her comments about campaigns extending through June. In her husbands case, at the California Primary in June he was already the assumed nominee (much like Obama).
In Robert Kennedy’s case the primary campaign was barely 3 months old… they hadn’t been dragging the press and the voters in the dirt for 5-6 months prior to the June primaries.
So to insinuate that this is somehow a NORMAL occurrence by citing two completely different scenarios as if they had any bearing on 2008, then to crown it with the mention of implied and ACTUAL assassination.
Yeah… how DARE Mr. Olbermann (or anyone for that matter) pipe up!
Funny how the First Amendment is so fundamental to most Americans… until it runs counter to their agenda.
I agree, she made a very edgy, easily misinterpreted, and unnecessary comment. And it was her second time using the same reference. I can understand if someone makes stupid comments from time to time, but when it becomes repetitive you know there is something wrong with that person.
The question “Why are you still in the race, has been asked way too many times.”
Media backlash has started over how the media picked up on this non story.
Politico.com, Jeffrey Toobin just was beside himself, (in his own calm manner) at how different media had gone with this story hook, line and sinker. Others have started to agree.
Keith is actually in a white, padded room that has been chroma keyed to make it look like a news room.
I could care less where they’re housing Keith… I still think the mentioning of assassination in such a close politically charged campaign is completely uncalled for. All of the explanations for her comments are complete bull squeeze, if she had merely been explaining or setting forth a timeline to show why she’s still holding out there is nothing to be gained by mentioning the assassination of a political candidate.
If a Republican had said what she did it would be the end of their career.

I disagree about Olbermann’s comments. Very Dumb comments.
