Dean, Reid and Pelosi push for Friday closure
DNC Chairman Howard Dean, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are trying to turn up the heat on super delegates to seal in their voting plans by Friday, effectively sealing the deal on who will be the nominee before the National Convention.
“The voters have spoken. Democrats must now turn our full attention to the general election. To that end, we are urging all remaining uncommitted super delegates to make their decisions known by Friday of this week, so that our party can stand united.”
I do agree with them, keeping uncertainty as to the validity of your nominee (although having ALL of the remaining Super Delegates go Hillary wouldn’t change the results) doesn’t aid in making your goals for November any easier. Although it would be nice, I honestly do not see Hillary conceding the election until the nomination at the National Convention is over and done with.
There were Hillary Campaign officials on EVERY news channel last night preaching the “we can still win this thing” mantra over and over and over again, so if you’re still thinking this is all done and wrapped up, they don’t seem to think so.
