This guy needs a hug
Speaking today, Iranian President Ahmadinejad said, “I must announce that the Zionist regime (Israel), with a 60-year record of genocide, plunder, invasion and betrayal is about to die and will soon be erased from the geographical scene. Today, the time for the fall of the satanic power of the United States has come and the countdown to the annihilation of the emperor of power and wealth has started.”
Oh, but they’re just obtaining nuclear fuel for energy (not that they’re sitting on any oil or anything)…
Remember folks, you’re dangerously close to electing a President because he is “charismatic” and “he’ll change stuff”… A man who honestly believes Iran is a “tiny problem” and one that can be resolved by a fireside chat over cheese and wine. Express our concerns and they will see the error of their ways.

Did you catch Nancy Pelosi thanking the Iranians for their “goodwill”? Ace of Spades has the details.
Unbelievable.

Yeah, attempting to negotiate with people is such a waste of time. Nevermind that we started off by calling them “The Axis of Evil” or anything. I think it’s best we stay the diplomatic course which has been such a screaming success for the past 7 years.

I never said negotiating never works… thing is the parties need to WANT something in order for a negotiation to take place.
Someone who’s only want is for you to NOT EXIST isn’t open to negotiations and I’m not about to give them what they want to placate them.
I wouldn’t support an Iraq type solution either but sitting down to tell them you’re “not comfortable with their tone” as Obama seems all too ready to do is not what I’m looking for in a President.

I’m pretty sure Obama is not for “wine and cheese” negotiations. What do you think should be the course of action to deal with Iran?

The man has said without pause that he would sit down to a discussion with the Iranian President WITHOUT PRECONDITION…
Yeah, we’ll negotiate, we’ll bend over backwards to make sure nothing offends you, we’ll make sure we stop doing X, start doing Y etc. etc. etc… but we won’t DARE ask you to meet some strict guidelines of our own prior to us even THINKING about sitting at the table with you.
Negotiating is a 2 way street… if we ARE to sit at the table with Iran, there have to be ground rules. You can’t give them a free pass and expect to get anywhere with them.

Not many people know that Ahmadinejad is the same guy involved in the 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis. I’m fascinated that Ahmadinejad believes there are no gay people in his country.
