Put Pelosi on notice, Limbaugh signs record radio deal
Dear Nancy Pelosi,
I hate to break it to you and your “fairness” police but capitalism ROCKS. We all know you absolutely HATE that anyone would dare listen to Rush Limbaugh (or any other right wing radio) and we all know how you salivate at the thought of shutting him down out of “fairness” for the “common good”…
I thought I would pass this little bit of news on to you and the rest of capital hill for you to loath.
LIMBAUGH SIGNS THROUGH 2016; $400 MILLION DEAL SHATTERS BROADCAST RECORDS
Clear Channel and Premiere Radio have renewed Rush Limbaugh’s contract through 2016 on ALL of their syndicated channels, and they’re going to pay him $400,000,000 dollars for it. (That’s $50 Million a year people…)
Now I ask you this… in our country, everyone is free to speak their mind, as well as free to ignore someone if they disagree. Why, would a radio station pay a man $50 million a year for 8 years into the foreseeable future if he was unfairly exploiting our ears. It’s called capitalism Nancy and it belongs to the people, not you.
If enough people are listening to a message to warrant paying the messenger GOBS of cash, then apparently his message is in demand. If it wasn’t, he wouldn’t be making ripples in the press as he rockets through the pay ceiling.

I said nothing about him as a person, his message is broadcast and millions upon millions of people tune in daily.
He could be a three headed alien with green skin, as long as the astronomical dollar signs are there for the broadcast company, he will be rewarded for his work.
It’s simple economics, you bring in the bucks and I will reward you.

I don’t have any issue that he is getting paid that much — that’s between him and his employers — But I’m shocked and slightly appalled that enough people listen to such a dick on a daily basis to warrant such a contract.

I don’t agree with everything he says but I do think he’s quite entertaining. He’s far from the biggest dick on the air.
