Some of my Republican friends are acting like Michael Jackson has died a second time, and to them I say… you need help. Many of my Conservative friends are hoping and praying this means she’s trying to fade into the ether to be a mom to her children, and grandchild and that all hopes of a GOP ticket in 2012 are GONE.

Yes I said it… I hope Sarah Palin does not run for President in 2012 like so many seem to be begging her to do. Why? First… I don’t think she’s cut out for the job. She’s too green as a politician (and yes I feel the same about our current President and he’s doing a BANG UP job).

Second, if she thinks the attacks from her detractors were bad when she was second fiddle and even AFTER the election, she hasn’t seen ANYTHING yet. If she was elected there would be a full on assault from anyone even remotely liberal, to destroy her and run her out on a rail. Women are supposed to be successful, but to them, that means you CANNOT be a Conservative.

I liked her as a VP candidate and in that capacity I think she would have been pretty good at the job (hell, anyone is better than Joe Biden at the moment), but as President?

To Sarah, I hope this was a personal move and a family move and nothing more. If that is the case, I wish you and your family the best.

There are some things that are VERY clear from all of this, the first being that it’s OBVIOUS that von Brunn is a stark raving lunatic. The second being that the press will be digging up his books, movies and magazines and labeling him a “right-wing extremist”, pointing to the infamous memo about those of us on the right that the left are so deathly afraid of. Finally, the anti-gun lobby WILL be gearing up it’s push against guns and will be using von Brunn and his “right-wing” points of view as the poster child for their cause.

To which, she gave the following response.

“Well I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. Um, we live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and in, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think that it should be between a man and a woman.”

Apparently, since this answer did not fit the confines of Perez’ narrow views, he dubbed it “the worst answer in beauty pageant history” and even went so far as to call Miss Prejean a “Dumb Bitch”.

Now let me be the first to say that I COMPLETELY side with Miss Prejean on this one… she was slapped with a politically motivated question and she handled it wonderfully. I believe anyone that wishes to join in a union with another person should be allowed to, but she wrapped her personal opinion in the important clause of States Rights. She may not agree with same-sex unions (or marriages) but she did not come out and slap the audience with the usual rhetoric and put downs.

Mr. Hilton is a hot headed moron regardless and he knew very well that she had to answer the question so he essentially backed her into a corner.

Flashback to 2001:

“The Gremlin” James Carville, speaking to Washington Reporters uttered these words, “I certainly hope he doesn’t succeed.”

Democratic Pollster Stanley Greenburg had this little gem leak from his lips as well, “We rush into these focus groups with these doubts that people have about him, and I’m wanting them to turn against him. They don’t want him to fail. I mean, they think it matters if the president of the United States fails.”

Granted 9/11 (mere moments after these were uttered) hit the fan, and Carville retracted his words and the press never did put much press time into them, they were his actual words and wishes. Failure.

Are we off limits wishing that the agenda of a President does not fall into place? I vote NO WAY.

I cannot say that I disagree.

ACORN has posted a memo on their website in response to the recent wave of foreclosures nation wide…

On Feb. 19, ACORN members will launch a new tactic in fighting foreclosures: civil disobedience. Participants in the ACORN Home Savers campaign nationwide will simply refuse to move out of foreclosed homes, or in some cases, will move back in. ACORN homesteaders intend to squat in their homes until a comprehensive, federal solution for people facing foreclosure is put in place.

Failure to vacate a foreclosed home would make the individual guilty of trespassing at the very least and according to the severity of the violation could even escalate to a felony charge. What’s worse… losing a house or being charged with a felony?

I don’t know about you, but it’s a HOUSE… it’s not a right. If you default on your mortgage and the bank is forced to evict you, it isn’t because they love kicking people out… you breached a contract agreement and are facing the consequences.

“What else can you do?” asks Louis Beverly, co-chair of the Baltimore ACORN Foreclosure Fighters. “After you’ve used all your legal options, your last resort is civil disobedience. We’re talking about families who have been in their homes 20 or 30 years. People who are assets in the community, who look out for the elderly, who have community associations, and these are the people being kicked out of the community.”

What else can you do? How about find an affordable place to live? Being evicted from a house does not make you incapable of living somewhere else. Rent a home, get an apartment, lease to own… but when did civil disobedience become an option? Why don’t we all sit on the lawn and throw a temper tantrum like we’re 6 years old?

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Jeremiah Wright, Michael Phlegler, Joe Lowery and crew ALL make their living on perpetuating the constant reminder of the fact that we don’t all have the same color skin. Obama himself made it a regular practice to remind us, the voting public, of his blackness in his strange “they’re going to try to scare you” speeches.

The election is over and done with, has been for months and yet yesterday, Joe Lowery chose to utilize his platform at the inauguration of Barack Obama to take a personal jab and keep the seed alive just a little bit longer.

‘Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around… when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen’

Say what you will about the “cute little preacher man” (the image portrayed by the talking heads in the press) but just imagine the outrage that would be steaming from the ears of the onlookers had that very same “prayer” been uttered for the inauguration of anyone else, much less a White Republican. Heads would roll for certain and folks like Joe Lowery would make sure they did…

I seem to recall Obama supporters making a huge deal about the election of a Black man as President, as if this single, solitary act were capable of eradicating any and all racism embedded in American culture. According to Lowery… whites apparently don’t embrace what is right and all other races in this country can’t get by or are still being held back. Well sir, I hate to burst your bubble but “minorities” are prevalent in multiple levels of society on all pay scales and power scales so I fail to see how things have NOT changed since Rev.Martin Luther King Jr. made his now famous speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

We didn’t invent racism or slavery, yet we seem to bear the guilt of it all as if we did. Injustices have existed since man first walked this planet and they’re not going to end anytime soon. We HAVE come far, and we’re not finished yet… but with the continued efforts of people like those mentioned above who’s very existence is challenged without a racial grievance to air and who can’t seem to get out of bed in the morning without finding some way to drag us back in the mud, we won’t EVER be.

Say hello to Adolf Hitler Campbell… he’s 3 and not quite as scary looking as his namesake was. His mom and dad on the other hand, are stupid. For one thing, Lil Adolf here has two younger sisters who, thanks to the parents of the year, are named JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell.

Well these wonderful parents have their panties in a wad because a local ShopRite has repeatedly refused their requests for a cake bearing his name. A spokesman for the store also says that previous requests by the father were denied due to requests for swastikas to be included in the decorations.

I’m all for personal freedom but you have to accept that actions have consequences and these include naming your children after dictators and racist organizations. I have Adolf’s in my family tree from my German ancestry, and my son bears a German middle name, but I intentionally avoided names with negative historical context for numerous reasons.

Anyone up for nominating Heath and Deborah Campbell for parents of the year?

Well, get ready for the shock of a lifetime… those people who had no business owning that house in the first place, are apparently RE-defaulting on their home loans even after being bailed out the first time. Information due out from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Office of Thrift Supervision (did you even KNOW there was such an office?) shows that more than 58% of those who received restructured mortgages to stave off foreclosure have re-defaulted on their loans. Brilliant!

When asked why this is happening, the OCC only had this to say, “We don’t know the answers yet, but these are the types of questions that we have begun asking our servicers in detail.”

You don’t know WHY people are re-defaulting on their loans? Send someone from the Office of Thrift Supervision over to investigate… once they’re done watching the BCS Championship on the 50″ Flat Screen I’m sure they can scratch together some reason why these people can’t seem to scrape up the money for their mortgage payments.

I’m sorry, but I have zero sympathy with MOST people who cannot pay their bills. If you can’t afford it, you should not have it. End of story.
